Canopy - A thick umbrella of tree tops containing most of the rainforest life.
Conservation - The protection and careful use of natural resources to stop them disappearing forever.
Deforestation - Cutting down all the trees in a forest.
Ecosystem - Everything in a particular environment, including plants, animals, rocks, sunlight and water.
Fauna - The animal life in the rainforest.
Flora - The plant life in the rainforest.
Temperate Rainforest - A rainforest that grows in temperatures that are not too hot and not too cold.
Tropical Rainforest - A rainforest that survives in very hot and wet temperatures and is found near the equator.
